The climate crisis is winning.
This week, we witnessed Supreme Court Justice nominee Amy Coney Barrett feign ignorance when asked about the existential threat that is climate change.
During last week’s Vice Presidential debates we watched Mike Pence and Kamala Harris race to see who could more firmly distance themselves from planet-saving solutions, like banning fracking.
Electing Joe Biden is a non-negotiable when it comes to defeating the climate crisis — Donald Trump and the Republican party would sooner watch the world burn than turn their backs on corporate lobbyists.
But electing Joe is not enough.
If we want our grandchildren to have a habitable planet, we need clean water and breathable air.
That’s why we will raise hell until we pass a Green New Deal … and plant a whole lot of trees while we’re at it.
Last month’s tree planting challenge was a success: with our combined efforts, we planted a whopping 15,193 trees! Now I’m ready for Round 2.
If you join our movement to reforest the planet before November 1, I’ll personally match you 2 trees for every 1 you plant. That’s right: plant as many trees as you want for $1 each, and I’ll match you 2 trees for every 1 you plant, up to one million trees.
We’ve planted over 2 million trees in the past few months, but with a football field’s worth of trees disappearing every minute, we have so much more to do. Our goal is to double that before October ends—and I’m putting my own money on the table to triple your impact!
Yes, the climate crisis is winning.
But we’re fighting back.
