In the last few years, progressive policies (think: Medicare For All and the Green New Deal) have captured the American imagination.
But our laws and politics are still stuck in the past.
It’s time to start delivering results. We’ve had enough clickbait.
People are fed up with the empty gestures that have come from our cultural, media, economic, and political institutions.
To really fix what’s wrong with this country, we need across-the-board reform.
And when institutions fail us, we have to build new ones.
That’s why I co-founded Aspiration, an online financial institution that helps people align their money and their social conscience.
We shouldn’t settle for anything less than a future where everyone can afford life’s basic needs and live with self-determination and dignity.
It’s time to move beyond rhetoric and toward real, lasting change for working people.
